Recently I saw a video where top executive of TCS was asked in an interview why the freshers salary did not improve since ages. The response was pay is according to the talent. We have different bands based on talent and college they grad from . The answer is simple service companies continue to exploit freshers . Also bond with them for years , do not give the choice of project these freshers wants to get into , if there's an opening in testing or support project that dude has to take it up regardless. My two cents or opinion, take a job which pays less than this atleast that gives you good career options like tech stack and experience after an year or two you can earn a lot.

TCS says fresher salaries stay at 3-4 Lakhs as students have no skills. And, the no. of jobs has decreased yoy. It is not just salaries being stuck, without skills, we as a nation are stuck! Skilling goes beyond degree and finishing schools! Govt has launched multitudes of policies but colleges are still stuck. The need of the hour is to improve the ecosystem and empower students with exposure and network, with skills and competitions. Emphasis should be laid on student's all round development. One way to do this is to reduce the number of chapters and the kind of assignments or projects they give to students. Syllabus is so big and number of assignments and projects are huge that students rarely get time to invest in skills or extra curricular activities. If the syllabus is shortened and skills are added to the school curriculum then most students will be well equipped with necessary skills before they start looking for jobs. Same thing applies with colleges as well. Focus should be on gaining practical knowledge and skills rather than focus on just assignments and projects.
